Case Study: Public.com - Revolutionizing Investing
In 2019, Public.com embarked on a mission to transform the landscape of investing by making public markets accessible to all. Beginning with the pioneering concept of fractional investing, they set the stage for an entirely new era in investment opportunities.
In 2020, Public.com, although relatively small in size, approached GlobeSearch with an ambitious goal—to democratize the US stock market. We were entrusted with the critical task of establishing a professional software development center in Copenhagen to support Public.com's huge ambitions. Remarkably, in February 2021, Public.com secured an impressive $220 million in funding from leading venture capital firms, propelling them into the fast lane of growth.
With hyper-growth on the horizon, Public.com needed a huge pipeline of talent - developers, team leaders, QA/Test professionals, and managers - at an unprecedented pace. We responded with a dual-pronged strategy. Firstly, we harnessed our extensive network and domain expertise to swiftly onboard top-notch professionals. Secondly, we formed a strategic partnership with HELP, a prominent PR company in Denmark. Together, we devised an employer brand strategy aimed at positioning Public.com as the most enticing destination for senior developers and testers. Collaboratively with our partner, we instilled trust through well-placed articles in esteemed publications like Børsen and DR, while creating reach through articles and news on LinkedIn.
We played an instrumental role in propelling Public.com's software development center from a five-person team to 50 skilled individuals. This journey, however, is far from over. We remain deeply committed, eagerly continuing our partnership with Public.com, and contributing to their relentless pursuit of growth and innovation taking public.com to new international markets.
