As VP of Development, you will get the opportunity to work with the latest technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Cloud Big Data, etc., and be part of a “Dream Team” of passionate developers, UX/UI’ers, Data Scientists etc.


The Digital Services team is a newly formed organization and it is therefore necessary to “build the bridge while walking on it” – i.e. you will have great influence in setting your mark in the organization, company and ultimately the industry.


As VP of Development, you will be working closely with the VP of Digital Services to build a top professional development team – a “Software Factory” – based on the latest Microsoft technologies in a truly agile environment. You will be responsible for hiring, leading and developing a team of “the best of the best” software engineers and define the processes, working methods, infrastructure, etc. necessary to create innovative solutions for a huge global market.


Primary tasks and areas of responsibility:


  • Hire, build and lead an outstanding team of Software Engineers, UX/UI’ers, Data Scientists, etc. to build a “Software Factory”
  • Establish, define and leverage Best Practices processes and methods within SW development – e.g. SCRUM, Pair Programming, Test Driven Development, DevOps, etc.
  • Scope and build the architecture needed to build a future proof platform based on Microservices, Data Analytics and Microsoft Azure platform services like, IoTHub, CosmosDb, Data Lakes, Cognitive Services, etc. – i.e. be the visionary architect that can see what platform services we need to build now and in the future.
  • Close cooperation with VP of Digital Services and the rest of the business in order to create seamless solutions that generate an emotional connection to the users.



The ideal candidate is expected to have an education at BA or MSc level in software engineering or computer science, but experience from a similar role where you have built up a development team from scratch in a global company is more important.


  • 5-10 years of experience in leading an agile development team
  • Experience as Head of Development with teams working on the Microsoft platform (Azure, Azure DevOps, Xamarin, etc.)
  • Several years of professional experience as a software developer building both mobile and cloud-based services (back-end services and web-based solutions)
  • Experience with scoping and driving the architecture of a complex cloud platform that interface with other enterprise services like SAP, salesforce etc.
  • Agile mindset with DevOps and continuous delivery expertise
