Would you like to be a part of a global market leader who acts as a startup? Nilfisk aspires after visions that might seem impossible, but they commit themselves to try anyway. They are currently powering up a traditional, industrial company and disrupting it from the inside.
Get an opportunity to build up products from scratch and see them launch globally, while influencing the company’s digital journey.

Nilfisk is looking for the biggest and brightest talents and are allocating large budgets to create what they cannot even see yet. By being a part of Nilfisk, you will grow rapidly by working with the most skilled colleagues in the field.

As Data Scientist, you will get the opportunity to work with the latest technologies such as IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Cloud Big Data, etc., and be part of a “Dream Team” of passionate developers, UX/UI’ers, Data Scientists etc.

The Digital Services team is a newly formed organization and it is therefore necessary to “build the bridge while walking on it” – i.e. you will have great influence in setting your mark in the organization, company and ultimately the industry.

Join the process early and help define the first digital chapter in the innovation history of Nilfisk.

Nilfisk is currently increasing their focus on analytics and insights with some of the most advanced tools. As Data Scientist at Nilfisk, you can look forward to shaping your own job as well as the overall setup in a successful company, work with the latest technologies, see the impact of your efforts in a global context and unfold your skills in a strong and highly functional team.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques and mathematical models
  • Develop reports/ KPI’s/ dashboards as requested by business
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources for analytical purposes
  • Develop and implement data lakes, databases, data collection systems, data analytics, etc.
  • Propose and investigate opportunities for new analyses that can drive valuable insights and change

You will work closely together with business stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs. You can look forward to travel approximately 20 days per year, to meet your team colleagues around the world.

The ideal candidate is expected to have an education in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Management, Economics, Statistics or similar at BA or MA level, but experience from a similar role is more important, e.g. within data analytics, business intelligence or financial analysis.

Furthermore, your skills cover:

  • Technical expertise within data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of reporting packages, databases and programming
  • Experience within R and/or Python
  • Deep understanding of reporting tools like Microsoft Reporting Services, Qlik view or similar

On a personal level you thrive in an outgoing role where you have a close interaction with multiple stakeholders across the business. As such, you will need an open-minded approach towards people with very different cultural and professional backgrounds – and the ability to adjust your communication to fit your audience.

At Nilfisk, they rest on more than 110 years of innovation experience and ever since the company was founded, growth and development has been a part of their DNA. In 2018, they launched their new corporate strategy, Nilfisk Next, with an ambition of radically changing “the world of cleaning”. A key cornerstone in the Nilfisk Next strategy is to develop digital services and solutions.

Today, the Digital Services team, work with the latest technologies like IoT, Cloud, AI and Analytics. They are adding more competences to the team – and are looking for colleagues who are motivated to “build the bridge while walking on it” and have a great influence in setting your mark on how Nilfisk works and operates.
